D'oh the technology, part the second

May 11, 2005

I've found an app called mo:blog which should allow me to post to my blogs from my Treo. If I'm lucky. UPDATE: It worked! Yay! Pity it won't let me pick categories, but I suppose I can live with that. Not like I'm going to be blogging from my Treo all the time.

San! Fran! Cisco!

May 11, 2005

I'm hauling my ass over to San Francisco in June for the Supernova05 conference (20 – 22 June), at which I will be moderating a panel discussion on Business Blogging, with Robert Scoble, Charlene Li and someone from Six Apart. That'll be on Monday 20 June, 2.30 – 4.00pm, if you want to come along. […]

Stop 'processing' my order and send me my damn iBook!

May 11, 2005

So the situation with my PowerBook got critical. Too many lines arriving at too fast a rate and too slow a processor. It's making working difficult now, and it's stopping me doing stuff I need to do. My delightful parents, who are truly wonderful, kind and generous human beings (who don't read this blog, but […]

D'oh the technology

May 10, 2005

I would have posted this entry from my Treo 600, which I'm writing about for a site that'll be launched soon, but whilst I can enter a title, my Treo doesn't display the main article body text box. Bum. No blogging on the run for me then.

May 10, 2005

Here's a couple of really good blogs for you. First, Steven Johnson, author of Everything Bad Is Good For You, a book I haven't read because it's not out here til the end of the month but which looks like a great read if the reviews are anything to go by. His blog is immediately […]

One slip

May 9, 2005

Funny how sometimes the soundtrack to a phase of your life appears from what's current, and sometimes your unconscious demands something else. I have suddenly started listening to Pink Floyd on heavy rotation. Not all of it, just some of it. A Momentary Lapse of Reason, Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of the […]

Spread the cash, er, I mean love

May 8, 2005

My good friend Mooc, or Michael O'Connor Clarke as he's also know, (and yes, I know that should spell MOCC, but MOOC suits him better), is looking for a job. If you know anyone who wants to hire a flack, please consider Mooc. I can attest to his infinite knowledge of flacking, his good character, […]

Sorry everybody

May 6, 2005

Blair. Again. For another five years. I'm sorry. If I weren't so broke and busy, I'd start sorryeverybody-again.com. Still, at least we don't have the Creature of the Night in charge, which is one thing to be grateful for. Actually, can't we just shoot all this lot and start afresh?

Nine lines on the screen, tra la-la la-la

May 5, 2005

This is getting ludicrous now. My laptop has nine lines in sets of 4 (blue/green), 1 (yellow) and 4 (various) bisecting the screen top to bottom, leaving me with a narrow patch in the middle in which to work. I have figured out what the problem is – the screen is warped. It fastens fine […]

Insights

May 4, 2005

Vince often has good insights into stuff, and this time is no exception. He talks how we're not really designed for complex conversation, and then he talks about waiting for phone calls that never come. On which note I'm going to go ring him and see if he's in.
