I would have posted this entry from my Treo 600, which I'm writing about for a site that'll be launched soon, but whilst I can enter a title, my Treo doesn't display the main article body text box. Bum. No blogging on the run for me then.
Here's a couple of really good blogs for you.
First, Steven Johnson, author of Everything Bad Is Good For You, a book I haven't read because it's not out here til the end of the month but which looks like a great read if the reviews are anything to go by. His blog is immediately addictive, not just because he writes well – of course he writes well, he's a writer – but because he comes across like just your ordinary blogger, like you or me or Neil Gaiman. Although I can't imagine Gaiman offering to go down the pub with the punters after a signing. Well, actually I can, but I suspect he doesn't because he'd cause a public nuisance with such a big crowd. (Thanks to Kevin for the heads-up on this.)
Second, Mythos of a Sorority Geek, a wonderful blog I discovered recently when reading through the kerfuffle about women in blogging. (I'll write about that issue one day, I promise.) A true geek in the 'can do shit with computers that I can't even comprehend' sense, sQurl is probably the only woman on the net I've read recently whose views on equality and gender I agree with. She's got a facility for reasoned, yet passionate, thinking that is so frequently missing in online discourse, and I appreciate that quality immensely, particularly when contrasted with some of the kneejerk shit that gets spewed out onto the blogosphere. A gem. Go read.
I will update my blogroll (oh, and there's another hot topic) just as soon as I remember the password.
