Judith Meskill, who writes the Social Software Weblog, is away for a week and I'm happy to say that she's asked me to dep for her. I'll be blogging over there from now until the 30th June, although I shan't be cross-posting so you'll have to go over there to see what I'm up to.
(Oh, btw, if you're wondering if this is my Sekrit Projekt, I'm afraid that's something else. Although it is coming along nicely, thank you.)
Been doing a lot of intensive reading today – and I'm not talking Thomas the Tank Engine. I fear my brain is soon going to start dribbling out of my nose.
Long evening of writing ahead of me. Results will be worth it though. I hope. Please cross your fingers.
Michael Gartenberg doesn't get why DRM is a bad thing, but he doesn't really make a strong case for why Cory or anyone else who stands in Cory's corner is wrong. A key sentence is “Our research shows clearly that DRM is only an issue to consumers when it's technology they keep bumping into” – Gartenberg works for Jupiter Research which may bias him slightly, although I notice that he doesn't link to said research so that those of use who are interested can see for ourselves what it says. It's no good asserting that “data driven research backs [me] up” if you don't link to the data.
I could say more but I have the Sekrit Projekt to work on.
