The Tube Challenge

by Suw on August 5, 2004

Ewan and Tom took part in the Tube Challenge last week. The idea is to pass through every London Underground station in Zone 1 in the fastest possible time, although I suspect that picking one of the hottest days of the year to do it on hampers things somewhat.
I had been hoping to be able to go as well, but I couldn't make it, which was a shame because they were on the BBC London news this evening (about 9 mins 30 secs in, only valid on 5 Aug, although I do have it on video so may be able to post a permanent mpeg somewhen).
Despite throwing themselves into it and finishing in a time of 2 hrs 56 mins 39 secs, Ewan and Tom ended up second… by a margin of just 49 secs. Surely, the Underground is a harsh, harsh mistress.

I could make some guesses about how I should structure the document and what it should look like, but I was really just groping about in the dark.
