New Year is always a bit of a weird time, as the expectation of a great party usually gives way to the reality of staying in, in front of the computer, and wondering why it was I couldn't get my act together yet again. But this year my New Year's Eve was just about as perfect as you could get. A meal, some champagne (actually, the best champagne I've ever had the good fortune to taste, Larmandier-Bernier), some champagne truffles and a glass of white port to toast the New Year. Simple, but wonderful.
I hope you all have a prosperous 2006, that the year gives you both what you want and what you need, that all the painful change that seemed so prevalent in 2005 was the paving of the way to a fruitful, satisfying, successful and enjoyable year this year. May the universe be good to you.
Happy New Year!

Hiya! Happy new year to you too 🙂
I love the idea your mum had for selling ipod socks. Setting up a website is a fantastic idea.
I'm pretty good with html, xhtml css and php – so if your mum would like me to help set her a more professional looking site I would do so, for free too: partially, because it would be a nice distraction from staring at the mould growing in cups around my computer – but mostly because I am lovely and nice – and the more sites I set up for people – the more I learn!!
I only offered to you because of the following reasons:
1) You learned Welsh all by yourself. (I read this somewhere. Plus that's just super fantasticly cool.)
2) You wrote a lovely review for Turin Brakes Jackinabox! (Which I how I ended up surfing onto your site.)
Anyhow, let me know if you'd like me to help – I also know a few handly places that your mum could advertise her website at for free.

Carly 😀
Haha! I just read some info over at your 'Blogiculum Vitae' and I think if your mun wanted help she'd have asked you!! 😉
Hohum! Never mind – Ignore my last comment.
Happy new year 😀
Carly, that's a lovely offer and very kind. I've passed it on to my mum and dad (dad did the website) becuase they may want to take you up on it. To be honest, the reason that I haven't been able to help is because I've been up to my eyeballs in Open Rights Group stuff, so I just haven't had the time to work on a nice design for them. It's very kind of you to offer to do so. Thank you.
