Truly wireless working is mine! All mine!

With the installation of an Airport card and the arrival of a new battery, finally my PowerBook is up and running like it should be. Now I can sit in the lounge and add a whole new dimension to ineffective multi-tasking – TV! The delights of being able to IM, IRC, control my PC desktop with Chicken of the VNC, read blogs and reply to emails whilst also watching documentaries about the Hittites and Nefertiti must be experienced to be believed. I never knew I had the capacity to do so many things so half-arsedly all at once.

40 needles

I don't know how it works, but having 40 tiny needles stuck in my back has made a huge difference. I can move around now without wincing. I can sit and stand and bend forward and I don't have to worry that I'm doing some sort of horrendous damage to my back.
I can also now empathise with hedgehogs on a heretofore unrealised level.

XP vs OSX

You know what they say: to err is human, to forgive divine. Well, I don't know if PCs can do forgiveness, but by that reasoning they're a heck of a lot more human than a Mac could ever be.
