Underfloor heating

by Suw on June 30, 2007

I find it weird when I hear people on TV saying things like “Underfloor heating is quite new in the UK” when the Romans were doing it two thousand years ago. Never fails to amaze me how slow we are to rediscover stuff our ancestors knew.

romans used this in baths, not for mainstream heating.
underfloor heating isn't necessarily the complete solution in uk/ireland. it can certainly be part of the mix, but it sometimes isn't responsive enough when the temperature can't be predicted in advance.
