I think I may have 'flu

by Suw on November 6, 2003

I ache. My head aches, my neck aches, my back aches, my arms and ribs ache. My shoulders ache.

This morning, when it was just my neck and head, I had thought I'd put my back out again, which I am prone to doing. I was a little annoyed because only Monday I'd been to see my chiropractor and she'd put all my vertebrae back in place for me. It's always a really nice feeling to walk out of her clinic feeling an inch taller and a lot more flexible. But it has been 13 months since I saw her last and I just assumed that I'd left it too long and that my back problems were not going to go away with only one appointment.

As the day has progressed so has the ache and now, according to my very sympathetic Mum, I look like shit. That's a real coincidence cos I feel like shit too.

She's made me a LemSip and I'm going to go and curl up on the sofa downstairs and read last weekend's papers which I bought as part of my journalism course but have yet to actually look at. Then after dinner I'm going to watch The Matrix with my Dad, who's never seen it. If I can stay awake that long.

The nice thing about being ill at home, is that it's at home. And your parents feel a parental urge bubbling up from wells long thought superfluous. 🙂

Heel veel beterschap!

Bedankt!

Hm, yes, you have a point Brammetje, but unfortunately this morning the only urge my Mum appears to feel is to nag me about money.
