BookBrain – what a fabulous idea!

by Suw on October 17, 2003

If you're addicted to buying books, as I would be if I had any money, then you really want to bookmark BookBrain. It's like Kelkoo, but for books – they don't sell you anything they just compare prices for you. What makes BookBrain particularly special, though, is that they also compare p&p costs and availability, so you can see in an instant which book seller you're best off buying from.

It's a shame that they don't have a wishlist capability too. I like the concept of a wishlist, but I don't like the idea of having an Amazon one because Amazon are expensive, slow and rubbish at telling you when an order's not actually going to ever be fulfilled. It would be cool, though, to have a wishlist on a site that could recommend the best vendor for each individual book, as well as keep a track of all the books you want. Extend that to CDs and DVDs/videos and I would be in wishlist heaven.
