Stuff of no consequence

For some reason, my stats are insisting that only 21 people have read this blog today. I find that hard to believe considering that I normally get around 150-200 hits. Odd. Oh well.

To change the subject completely, I have ramrod straight hair. I find it ironic, therefore, that the best way to put a curl in my hair turns out to be for me to use straightening irons.

There's always a finger in a light socket for a tight, perky curl. 😉

I always thought that produced more of a frizz than a curl… 😉

Hi Suw.

I also have ramrod straight hair and for years I would perm it so that I could get wash and go hair…
About a year or so ago, I decided that if my hair wanted to be straight I wouldnt' fight it anymore… So I got a haircut. Everyone couldn't believe how much better it looked… I hated it because it was so fine that it would never hold a curl or do anything but hang there…

Then I got highlites and asked for a layered cut that would help the ends flip out… It took awhile but I eventually found that with the right styling products for my hair and the right technique even I could have full flippy hair that lasted through the work day and with minimal fussing could last well into the evening…

I find that using a firm hold styling gel on barely damp hair and blow-drying the ends with a round brush adds much needed volume and fullness. For more defined curls I follow with a few twirls of a curling iron, then mist with hairspray and voila!

Happy hairstyling!

Yeah, a good cut and the right goo make all the difference. Actually also found that dying the hell out of mine helped too, but it's just so much hard work to keep it looking good, I just gave up. Black hair with blonde roots looks really amazingly stupid…
