Gimme a job!

by Suw on September 1, 2003

Well, now much of my life has been thrown out, given away or boxed, I am starting to job hunt in earnest. I want to find something in Manchester or that sort of area if I can, although I suppose I ought to be open to moving anywhere. Except London.

Much as I love London I just cannot afford to live there any more, not with the debt I now have. I don’t want to put myself in that position of having to earn stupidly large amounts of money just to live. Renting in London is so horrendously expensive for anything even half decent, and there is no way on this earth I’m going back to having one room in a house full of strangers. Sorry. Too old for that now.

Anyway, I’ve uploaded my new CV, so take a look (even if you’re just being nosy!) and feel free to pass it on to anyone who’s hiring.

I know what you mean about jobs and that. My dad's still jobless, and it's really hard on us. But you know what? All you need is a bit of humour and a whole lot of faith, and you'll get through it. Good luck!!!!

Thanks Liz. Yeah, job hunting sucks. But it's a numbers game though – you have to read a lot of ads, apply for as many as you can, and keep your fingers crossed.

Hope your Dad finds a job soon!

Hey,
With a CV such as yours, you shouldn't have a problem finding work.
