Would Rory still be no. 1 if his BBC blogs and activity were taken out of the equation? I would hazard a guess that he would not. @Ian: Well, the list is partly about verbosity, and you're pretty verbose - in the best possible way! ;-) - so I'm not surprised you're there. Being online for a long time of course always helps your Google Juice, so again, that's not a surprise. But again, this list is really about promoting NowPublic, so I'm sure they don't much care that it doesn't make sense. So I suppose my "reach" is "lots of different small groups" rather than one big blog. I also comment a lot, which helps. :) I’m a bit baffled at being included, but I suppose it’s because I’ve been around awhile, and have written a lot for a lot of different people (at various times, MacUser, MacWorld, eWeek, Wired News, Ariel, BT, and many others – including, most famously, Family Tree Magazine!). So I suppose my “reach” is “lots of different small groups” rather than one big blog.

But then again as they don't realise Tom is not London it makes me wonder if they did not just pick names!
