Half the fun of organising a wedding now is seeing how much wedding inflation you can avoid. We did rather well. The bride wore comfortable shoes, the groom wore jeans, we ate at the chippy. Not your fairytale “special day” but it was special enough for us.
Have you got your ‘just married’ flip flops ordered yet, Suw?

Yup, see, you clearly don’t understand the difference between normal flowers/cake and WEDDING flowers/cake. You know coz, like, on is just, you know, normal but the other is for a WEDDING, you know, like, a W-E-D-D-I-N-G. Yeah? You see? Yeah?
