In fact, it hadn't addressed any of its problems over the last three years, nor has it added any new functionality. But there are reasons I want to move other than functionality, that I don't really want to go in to here. Wordpress is my choice because it's open source, free, very well put together with some great spam protection, and some interesting widgets. Generally, it's a very nice platform, and one I'm familiar with. It's pretty much what I recommend to people now.
