It is wonderfully encouraging that maybe the UK can lead the US toward a more reasonable set of copyright rules.  One sentence in the piece says:  &quot;... it is not the music industry&#039;s job to decide what rights consumers have. That is the job of government.&quot;  
That is almost correct.  The fact is, that all individuals have all rights to begin with, and the role of government is to take away and remove as many of them as the people will stand for.  Or so it would seem.</description>
